Morro das Pedras is located between Armação and Campeche. The distance to the center of Florianópolis is about 22 kilometers. You can get to there only by using the Federal Highway SC - 405. The demand for housing space was growing continuously because of the speedy growth at the area of Campeche. The compactly closed blocks of flats give a very characteristic phenotype to this locality. The offer of infrastructure is still being built, but nowadays you will already find a hotel, board and lodgings, restaurants, bars and small supermarkets.

There is a beach with crystal waters, which builds the extension of Joaquina and Campeche. During the months July to October you may watch the majestic whales which are used to arrive every year from the Antarctic crossing the Atlantic. In this area, where the waters are quite warmer they give birth to their babies. Praia do Morro das Pedras is only being frequented since a very short time because it is protected by nature conservation. For this reason this beach is especially recommended for nature-lovers and it is also visited by families with their dependents and surfers.
